The Energic IBS215K1KC is a 215kWh battery energy storage cube designed for commercial and industrial energy storage as well as EV charging energy-storage applications.
The system provides 215kWh / 280Ah energy capacity with 0.5P charge and discharge performance and supports parallel operation of up to four battery cubes, enabling a total capacity of up to 860kWh.
Its modular architecture allows battery capacity to be expanded as project requirements grow, while integrated battery management, thermal management, fire protection and environmental monitoring provide multiple layers of system protection.
Battery Architecture & Charging Performance The IBS215K1KC uses IBP14K513C 280Ah LFP battery packs. Each battery pack contains 16 cells in series (51.2V nominal, 44.8–57.6V operating range, 14.3kWh capacity). 15 battery packs are connected in series per rack, providing 215kWh / 280Ah with a battery rack voltage range of 672–864V. The system is rated for 0.5P charge / 0.5P discharge with an enhanced short-duration discharge capability of 0.75P for 30 minutes. This short-duration discharge capability allows the battery cube to provide higher power for temporary peak-demand conditions without permanently sizing the complete system around that peak. Cycle life is rated for ≥6,000 cycles (≤0.5P, 25°C, 100% DOD, 80% residual capacity).

Battery Management System & High-Voltage Control Box The IBS215K1KC incorporates a two-level BMS architecture consisting of the battery-pack BSU and high-voltage control-box master/slave BMU, with up to four BMUs operating in parallel. BMS capabilities include real-time cell voltage, current, and temperature monitoring, automatic cell equalization, state-of-charge monitoring (SOC accuracy ≤5%), state-of-energy, state-of-health, state-of-safety, instant data recording, and fault snapshots. Uses the IBU250A1K high-voltage control box (250A max current, 1000V max voltage, CAN/RS485, AC 220V / self-battery power supply, isolation detection, pre-charge resistor, main battery switch breaker and contactor).
Thermal Management, Fire Safety & Environmental Protection The battery cube uses an industrial outdoor cooling/heating air-conditioning system with intelligent partitioned thermal management (cell temperature difference ≤5°C at 0.5C). Fire safety incorporates temperature-activated fire extinguisher, fire probe tube, aerosol fire suppression, and HFC-227ea fire suppression. Safety monitoring includes door access, smoke, water, temperature, humidity, harmful-gas, air-pressure sensors, emergency fan, directional pressure-release area, and dedicated pressure-release structure. IP55 outdoor cabinet protection rating, noise ≤65dB.
